The Library offers a variety of free programs to help foster a love of literacy and lifelong learning for kids of all ages and families. Most programs are drop-in and are offered throughout the year in addition to special events.

Every Child Ready to Read Babies |
An early literacy storytime that gives kids a jump-start to a love of reading. Interactive activities like talking, singing, reading and playing for babies up to twelve months. Drop-in to this program on Thursdays at 1 p.m., Alder Street Library (April 6 to June 8; July 6 to August 24). No registration required. Check our Event Calendar for upcoming dates and times. |
Every Child Ready to Read Everyone |
Take part in songs, stories and rhymes for kids five and under. This fun, hands on program gives parents ideas and activities to help engage kids in reading and learning. Drop-in to this program on Thursday at 10:30 a.m., Alder Street Library (April 4 to June 8). You can choose your preferred day as the same program will be offered both days each week.
