Get a Library Card

Your library card allows you to borrow items from the Orangeville Public Library, download audiobooks  and eBooks, read magazines and newspapers online, use our computers, and so much more!Orangeville Public Library card image

If you're a resident of Orangeville, you may obtain a library card free of charge. Children 13 and under will need a parent or guardian with them to get a card.

Apply for your Library Card

Make sure to bring some ID with you that shows proof of your current address.

You may return borrowed items to either branch. We also have after-hours drop boxes available.

Businesses

If you're operating a business or own property in town, you can get a library card free of charge. Simply bring in a business card or other document that shows your business address.

Mono, Amaranth and East Garafraxa Residents

If you're a resident of Mono, Amaranth or East Garafraxa, there is no fee, but a signed agreement will be required as your municipality will pay the fee for you.

Non-Residents

If you do not pay taxes to the Town of Orangeville, Mono, Amaranth or East Garafraxa membership is available for $199.50 per household. We accept payment by cash, debit, or cheque.

Manage Your Account Online

Sign into your library account to view your checkouts, due dates, and items on hold, place holds and renew your items.

Loan Periods and Fees

Email notification

You can sign up for email notification. We will send you an email three days in advance of your due date, notify you when your holds are ready for pick-up and let you know if anything is overdue.

Library App

Look for the Orangeville Public Library app in the App Store or Google Play. 

Keeping Your Account Up to Date

Your library card is active for a year. You can renew by visiting the library.

Hours and Locations

Please contact us if you change your address, telephone number or email.

Lost or Stolen Library Cards

If your library card is lost or stolen, please contact us to report it right away. Cards can be replaced for $2.00.
