Get ready for a summer of reading fun! The TD Summer Reading Club is back and this year the theme is "Around the World". Buckle up, globetrotters, we are setting out on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure to faraway places.
Join the club! Children ages 12 and under can visit either library location to register and pick up a notebook with your special TD Summer Reading Club access code! This fun reading program inspires children to develop a lifelong love of reading and helps prevent the summer literacy slide. There are lots of fun programs and activities for kids of all ages. Check the Events Calendar for weekly program schedule and times.
We have two StoryWalks to read as you stroll around the community this summer. One at Island Lake (entry fees apply) and one along Broadway. Presented in partnership with the Island Lake Conservation Area and the Orangeville BIA. This year’s TD Summer Reading story found in the businesses along Broadway is “Let’s go! haw êkwa!” by Julie Flett.
Visit the TD Summer Reading Club website for more activities: watch featured author and illustrator videos, get cool writing ideas, reading recommendations, jokes and trivia, and print colouring sheets.
There are great resources for kids with print disabilities. Email [email protected] to find out more.
Co-created and delivered by 2,000 public libraries across Canada; development of this national, bilingual program is led by Toronto Public Library in partnership with Library and Archives Canada. Sponsorship is generously provided by TD Bank Group.
