Computers

The Mill Street and Alder Street locations have public access computers with Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel). We offer a variety of printing, photocopying and scanning services.

Using a public computer

  • You need a library card and PIN (four-digit number) to sign in
  • A guest pass is available for out-of-town visitors
  • You need to click I AGREE to the Technology Services policy to connect to the Library's network
  • You can use the computer for two hours per day
  • Drop by to use computers on a first-come-first-serve basis or you can reserve a station up to a week ahead of time

Free Wi-Fi is available at both locations.

Print from anywhere, pick up at the Library

Mobile printing from your laptop, phone or tablet is available either on location or from anywhere you can connect to the Internet.

Scanning

  • Scanning is available at both Library locations
  • 50 cents for a scan - up to 25 pages

Fax

  • A Fax service is available at the Mill Street Library
  • $3.00 for the first page, $1.00 for each additional page (Canada only)

Borrowing a Chromebook

Upper Grand District School Board students have access to Chromebooks at each branch. All you need to get started is your UGDSB login and a library card.

Students who are 14+, or a parent/guardian, may borrow a Chromebook for one week. When you are finished, please return the Chromebook inside the library.

We offer tech help drop-in sessions or one-on-one appointments along with online services to help you learn.
