prusa core one+ 3d printer

The Prusa Core One+ is an FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) 3D Printer, which can create 3D objects by stacking layers of melted plastic filament. 3D files to be printed can be modeled from scratch (using an application such as TinkerCAD), or downloaded (from 3D file libraries such as printables.com).

Before printing, all 3D model files must be ‘sliced’, using the PrusaSlicer software, which is the process of preparing the file with all of the appropriate settings. Then, ‘sliced’ files can be transferred onto the 3D printer via an SD card.

Production cost:

Use of the 3D Printer is free, but there is a cost associated with consuming the plastic filaments.

  • Generic PLA filament- $1 per 25 grams used
