The Elgato Video Capture is a digitization device that can convert your VHS tapes into digital video files. The device acts as a connector between a VHS player and a computer, and the digitization requires use of the Elgato Video Capture software.

Use of the Elgato Video Capture is free. To take digitized files home, patrons will have to use an external storage device (which can be brought from home), like a USB, or cloud storage (digitized video files are typically too large to send as an email attachment). It is possible to purchase a USB from the Library.
