The Reshow Cassette Capture is a digitization device that can convert your cassette tapes into digital audio files. The device is designed as a cassette player and connects to a computer to capture the audio. The digitization requires the use of Audacity software, which is open-source audio software.
Production cost:
Use of the Reshow Cassette Capture is free. To take digitized files home, patrons will have to use an external storage device (which can be brought from home), like a USB, or cloud storage, or send them as email attachments. It is possible to purchase a USB from the Library.
